This week, thousands of the nation’s best high school clay target athletes are gathering in Mason, Michigan, for the USA High School Clay Target League National Championship.
The 1791 Foundation is proud to be a major sponsor of this event – not simply because these are outstanding athletes, but because of what programs like this represent.
At The 1791 Foundation, we’re intentional about where we invest our resources. We support organizations that make a measurable difference, operate efficiently, and are responsible stewards of donor dollars. The USA Clay Target League has built one of the nation’s premier youth shooting sports programs while maintaining the kind of financial efficiency and mission focus that allows more resources to go directly toward serving young athletes.
The shooting sports teach far more than how to hit a target. They teach responsibility, discipline, patience, and accountability. Those lessons stay with young people long after the competition ends.
That’s one of the reasons the USA Clay Target League has experienced such incredible growth. It provides students from all backgrounds the opportunity to compete, build confidence, and be part of something bigger than themselves in a safe, supportive environment.
These young athletes are also the future of America’s hunting, recreational shooting, and conservation communities. If we want those traditions to endure, we have to invest in the next generation. Organizations like the USA Clay Target League are doing exactly that.
At The 1791 Foundation, we believe that preserving America’s freedoms also means investing wisely in the people who will inherit them. Supporting organizations that combine exceptional impact with operational efficiency is one of the best ways we can fulfill that mission.
To every athlete competing this week: congratulations on earning your place at the National Championship. Compete hard, represent your team well, and enjoy the experience.
We’re honored to support you, and we wish you the very best this week.
